NFX is a relative newcomer to the Gametechmods community, having first downloaded Robot Arena 2 in August 2009, and joining the GTM Forums just two days after. Following a brief departure from the forums for unknown reasons, he returned in April 2010, and started to become one of the forum regulars.

Memorable Quote
"I see what u did there"

"PMbomb'd" "VICTORY"

Currently, he tends to offer insights into the newer members' bots, covering most of the simpler aspects, such as chassis management and basic glitching, leaving the more experienced members, such as Naryar and Pwnator to go into more detail about things like efficiency.

Still doesn't completely understand the rules for batteries.

He has a Stock showcase here and a DSL showcase here. Despite their popularity amongst some users, he hates DSL Flail Shell Spinners with a passion, mostly due to the large potential for them to create a Havok Explosion when a weapon or flail is knocked off. He also occasionally builds replicas to quite a good standard (see his Shunt and Dead Metal replicas in the Replica Showcase for some good examples), and some more humorous robots when Builder's Block sets in, recently building a fully mobile robot BBQ, inspired by a comment made by JoeBlo. He is currently ranked 98th in BBEANS Rankings, which he describes as 'relatively decent'.

In the more off-topic sections of the forum, he has become known for both his skilful use of the image editing program Paint.NET, with which he created both his signature and his avatar, as well as his slightly adverse sense of humour. He has a tendency to make jokes about most things in the off-topic sections, and sometimes makes references to RA2 as well, though occasionally when it's not that appropriate. An example of this can be seen here. He has also made a number of 'MS Paint Bots', which were well-received by others.

Skill

Stock - Knows almost all of the glitches, and can build some reasonably competitive bots. Tends to build popups and HS bots only.

DSL - Steadily improving. Likes to experiment, but tends to make bots more for looks rather than combat efficiency. Doesn't really build any specific type of bot, but likes rammers, and avoids shell spinners like the plague.

Modding - Has finally managed to crack AI'ing, and reskin an arena for Gazea2's Stock mod RA2INBOW. He has also recently learned to reskin components, and has 'absolute minimal knowledge' of BFE

Other Notable Robots

Flash Bang - A Flamethrower/Poker hybrid which won the October 2010 BOTM competition. Only the second flamethrower bot to win BOTM, the first being Naryar's April 2009 entry, Deflagration.

Halestorm series - A Stock HW Popup series, which has gradually improved over its seven incarnations, specifically with SnapperII work and extender setups.

Present Of Doom - His BOTM Entry for December 2010, coming second to Clickbeetle. It featured his first public showing of reskinned components: a red DSL Disc which read "To ACAMS. Merry Xmas!"

Pyramid Scheme - A pyramid-shaped Stock HW Flipper with a smiley face on the front. Liked for its humour, and there is also footage of it upending Hammer Of Justice, and overturning Hammer Of Judgement.

Hosting

Having taken a while to get to grips with AI'ing bots, NFX has so far never hosted an official tournament. However, his first attempt, Mechapocalypse, is currently in the Discussion phase, awaiting the next poll to move to signups. The tournament imposes a limit on the number of components a builder can use on their bots.

He has also hosted the Home Nations Tournament, an unofficial tournament between himself, Goldenfox93, G.K. and lloopp d lloopp, on the basis that each of the four countries of the United Kingdom would be represented.
