The Wheely Tag Tournament was a DSL LW tournament set up by Mouldy King Bash in late 2009. The arena was Lu-Tze's RA2tt arena. After trying to make a tournament where only WBC parts were allowed, he changed his idea to this. G.K. offered to AI the bots for MKB and also to be on his team. Soon, 20 bots were entered and were sent to MKB.

Takeover by G.K.

After G.K. sent the bots to Mouldy, he pasted them in the wrong place. This managed to crash his game. After a while of inactivity, the same happened when MKB put RA2 on his laptop. He was forced to ask G.K., who had already filmed the wildcard matches, to take over hosting the tournament.

MyDoom vs No name

WinNuke eXtreame began by attacking ForG, while Screwed in three seconds attacked its rear. Conficker stayed out of the action. Soon, the rammer attacked Sits and ForG continued to be harassed by WinNuke. Sits and Conficker managed to tear off most of their razor tips, leaviing Sits unarmed. Meanwhile, WinNuke continued to attack ForG, the robots occasionally coming together. Eventually, WinNuke hit Sits over and into the circlar saw, where it got stuck and was counted out. MyDoom's bots then combined to push ForG around. Eventually, WinNuke knocked half of ForG off and it havoked out.

Winner: Team MyDoom

Deadly Accuracy vs No name

Straight away DiSemboweLment made for ForG, while the two spinner bots clashed too. While DiSemboweLment shoved ForG around the arena, Ion Thruster almost KO'ed Sits. DiSemboweLment then shoved ForG into Sits, KO'ing it. Ion Thruster lost a beater bar and started hopping around, while DiSemboweLment shoved ForG around, eventually knocking off one side. A havok soon followed.

MyDoom vs Deadly Accuracy

To decide who would be the 8th qualifier, MyDoom and Deadly Accuracy faced off. Straight away DiSemboweLment was ganged upon by the MyDoom bots, Ion Thruster then coming in and throwing WinNuke over. DiSemboweLment threw it back over while Ion Thruster and Conficker clashed. DiSemboweLment then KO'ed WinNuke, and the teammates combined to throw Conficker OotA, the VS getting the last touch. With that, Deadly Accuracy qualified for the main bracket.

Round 1

Team Evilocity vs Xtreme Cuisine

QuickSilver made for [S] Cargo straight away, but it was lifter up by the robot's weapon and had its undersides shredded. Le Crab and ymgyP also made for each other. [S] Cargo slammed QuickSilver into a wall, knocking ymgyP over in the process. Le Crab was now able to get under the shell spinner. In a flash, the fight was over. [S] Cargo pinned QuickSilver against an angle grinder and KO'ed it, Le Crab getting the final blow to ymgyP's underbelly less than a second after.

Winner: Xtreme Cuisine

Team MG vs Team Invertible Inferno

Mini Mouldy Cheese made straight for Mini SnS 2, flipping it, while Drumbeat attacked Minifridge The Second. The two pairs of bots clashed, MG appearing to have the upper hand, with Mini Mouldy Cheese flipping Mini SnS over and over, and Minifridge tearing of Drumbeat's weapons. Then, Minifridge tore off Drumbeat's weapon motor. The now weaponless bot havoked into the air, landing on its teammate's weapon. The spinning Mini SnS then sent its teammate into the angle grinder, KO'ing it. Minifridge then did a large amount of damage to its teammate before tearing off one of Mini SnS's blades. The shell spinner then KO'ed its teammate, Mini SnS driving unstably OotA soon after.

Team ShortfiXXX vs Nameless Ones

From the off, The Bot You Like To Hate had AI trouble and span into the corner, getting stuck under the circular saw. Meanwhile, TheBotYouDon'tHateAsMuch immediately threw Short Bus over, attacking its underbelly. SuffiXXX attacked it from the side. The VS then sent the Drum flying. Short Bus resumed attacking it, but it was thrown over once more and KO'ed. Seconds later, The Bot You Like To Hate was counted out. Its teammate, starting to lose control having lost some teeth, managed to get to SuffiXXX and KO it.

Winner: Nameless Ones

Team Awesomesauce vs Deadly Accuracy

DiSemboweLment made for Hugs Aren't Fruit At All straight away, Ion Thruster following on. By the time The Orange is a Tasty Fruit reached the fight, it's teammate was nearly dead, KO'ed by Ion Thruster. It then threw Orange over, before its teammate pushed the two VS's to the arena wall. It failed to throw Orange OotA, but then the two bots of Deadly Accuracy teamed up to punt it over the wall.

Round 2

Team MG vs Xtreme Cuisine

Straight away, Xtreme Cuisine convened on Mini Mouldy Cheese 4, S Cargo throwing it over and doing serious damage to its underside. Le Crab pulled off the KO, Minifridge not even attempting to help. While turning to attack Minifridge, S Cargo ran its weapon across its teammate's back, KO'ing it. It then charged at the shell spinner, shoving it into the arena saw. Minifridge at last retaliated, tearing off the VS' two stabilisers, then the disc, and then the weapon motor. S Cargo made one last charge at Minifridge, but KO'ed itself running into the flailing razor tips.

Winner: MG

Nameless Ones vs Deadly Accuracy

The Bot You Like To Hate (With fixed AI) and DiSemboweLment immediately convened, the two vertical spinners taking slightly longer to join in the action. The MBSNS was launched off the popup and onto its teammate's disc, which sent it flying up into the air, almost going OotA. Ion Thruster continued to send both of its opponents into the air and onto its popup teammate. Deadly Accuracy diverted their attenttion from bot to bot, first knocking off one of TheBotYouDon'tHateAsMuch's wheels, and then knocking TBYLTH's chassis completely off the disc with all the weapons on. It was left to flounder about with its 1 very fast wheel and tiny chassis. Ion Thruster returned its attention to its VS counterpart, hitting it into the wall, while DiSemboweLment sent the tiny TBYLTH into the arena saw, KO'ing it. It then joined Ion Thruster, giving it the height it needed to punt TBYDHAM over the arena wall and out.

Round 3 (Winners Bracket Final)

Team MG vs Deadly Accuracy

Straight away, DiSemboweLment got under Minifridge and KO'ed the shell spinner in one hit, while Mini Mouldy Cheese approached the popup from behind. Ion Thruster meanwhile, began to topple over uncontrollably for no apparent reason. The dead Minifridge then havoked OotA. Ion Thruster regained its stability, and combined with its popup teammate to KO the enemy flipper and secure a place in the Grand Final.
