Back To The Beginnings was a tournament created by G.K.. It involved the entrants rebuilding the first showcased bots of each other. The tournament was the second quickest run tournament in RA2 history, taking only 6 days from G.K. posting the first vid to him posting the grand final. The champion was The Ounce, with Nuclear Fallout, while the runner up was Somebody, ironically rebuilding Ounce's Go Up Here. BTTB 2, the DSL version, later concluded with Somebody this time proving victorious, rebuilding Bubbleman's Gut Ripper, and defeating Yoda9726's Maximus rebuild in the final. BBTB 3, a version where 1st DSL bots are rebuilt in Stock, started in November 2010.

BTTB 1

The stock version of BTTB, BTTB 1 was well recieved by the community, who saw it as a clever idea. Soon, he had 19 entrants, 4 of whom would compete in a wildcard for the final spot. They were as follows:

  • Badnik96 and Alterer of Reality also said that they would enter, but pulled out for various reasons. Because of this, G.K. and Doomkiller left the wildcard and entered the main bracket. GoldenFox93 was also apparently so humiliated by his performance (Losing both his matches and all the rounds involved), that he now refuses to acknowledge he ever built his entry.

BTTB 2

The day G.K. concluded BTTB 1, he also announced BTTB 2, the DSL version of the tournament. Many members expressed an interest in joining. In the end, he got 27 entrants. Gazea2 and Picnic Attack pulled out, and due to an error in the brackets system, Hydro selflessly pulled out after Round 1.

BTTB 3

G.K. took a break from tournament hosting for a bit, before announcing a 3rd edition, rebuilding 1st showcased DSL bots in Stock. The tournament's videos kicked off on January 3, 2011.
