Back To The Beginnings was a tournament created by G.K.. It involved the entrants rebuilding the first showcased bots of each other. The tournament was the quickest run tournament in RA2 history, taking only 6 days from G.K. posting the first vid to him posting the grand final. The champion was The Ounce, with Nuclear Fallout, while the runner up was Somebody, ironically rebuilding Ounce's Go Up Here. BTTB 2, the DSL version, is currently being planned.
BTTB 1
The stock version of BTTB, BTTB 1 was well recieved by the community, who saw it as a clever idea. Soon, he had 19 entrants, 4 of whom would compete in a wildcard for the final spot. They were as follows:

- Doomkiller with The Black Knight
- 090901 with Windmill
- Sage with Altitwude
- Naryar with Crush's Big Daddy
- Pwnator with Killdozer II
- NFX with Tribute to Tribute to Mayhem
- Gazea2 with Radioactive Meltdown
- G.K. with Shaver BX^2
- Powerrave with Embodyment of the Blockbuster
- Jonzu95 with EoBSS X
- Bubbleman with Rusty Seringe
- GoldenFox93 with Arcade HW: Rise of GF93
- Squirrel_Monkey with Macro Vulcan
- Jack Daniels with Press This Easy Button to Die
- Stagfish with Atomic (BTTB)
- Badnik96 and Alterer of Reality also said that they would enter, but pulled out for various reasons. Because of this, G.K. and Doomkiller left the wildcard andd entered the main bracket.
