Madiaba is, without a doubt, one of the most influential members in RA2 history. His status developed quickly and inspired many members to make a name for themselves. Mad is primarily renowned for his crazy ideas, exceptional technical expertise, and awesome mods. His first mods showcase was entitled "Mad's Mods: thoughts + tweaks" and was released in August 9, 2007.

Alhough much of his work was done "behind the scenes," he helped members organize/run tourneys, solve difficult/problematic bots, and create new mods. In fact, he has worked with and recieved compliments from many of the big names of RA2 including Serge, Clickbeetle, and ACAMS. Amidst the many other modders that he influenced, you see JoeBlo, SpyGuy, philetbabe, Sage, Trovaner, and 70 CUDA.

Achievements

• Winner of GUMBA and A.D.D.I.C.T.
• Co-winner of BOTM for November of 2008 with Sage
• Once created an entire arena from scratch using notepad.

Notable Mods

This is an incomplete list of Mad's best work. He has had his finger in one too many pies to list them all here. In fact, Mad has over 26 arenas of his own (as of June 2010).

Arenas

• BattleGround_Terra_1 - A Star Trek-like battlefield where long-ranged robots rule.
• Hangar 'Alien Visitors' Arena - Spinning propellers, a system for recovery, and some disgruntled Aliens.
• Pittsfield Arena - An arena with a random housebot that is selected at the beginning of the match.
• The Workshop Arena - Playable version of the practice arena with an event.
• The Starcore v4 Practice Arena - Complete with two levels, an additional button, secret rooms, and a Vista computer
• Matrix Arena - An arena with a monster and no dedicated floor.

AI

• S.O.W. (description and download available here)
• FBS_1 (renamed to SnS_1)

Components

• Smart Zones v3 - the de facto standard for AIing bots with smartzones.
• AP Cannons - cannons with attachment points. What could go wrong?

Notable Bots

• ATOM - Co-designed by Sage, this little number won BOTM for November 2008.
• Skinhead - DSL S.O.W. downward poker winner of GUMBA
• Daisy Might - DSL HW HS that participated in RAW 1
• Arrow Head - Stock MW HS that was on a team with Phlox's Simpy Volatile in Tag Team Challenge
• Debaitor - Stock bot that was on a team with Pyscolone's TWEEK in RAW 2. It is also worth noting that this bot was a co-build between Mad and one of his friends.

Contests/Tournaments Hosted

• GUMBA - tournament that was taken over from 70 CUDA; in which, he also got assistance from Sage
