Tournament Running Involvement

  • Clash Cubes - JoeBlo first created the DSL Heavyweight tournament called clash cubes in April, the tournaments main restriction was that fact all chassis had to be a cube shape. the tournament was a little slow starting out when getting competitors but after it was complete interest towards JoeBlo's tournaments was improved greatly.
  • Clash Cubes 2 - JoeBlo ran a follow up to Clash Cubes which was one of the few Super Heavyweight Tournaments in existence. The sheer announcement of it spawned a lot of showcased SHW's. and more and more people wanting to join after entries were closed which resulted in 6 robots fighting for the last place of the 24 available for the tournament.
  • 1 vs 2 - Russian Roulette's tournament that would see Middleweights and Heavyweights from each competitor with the winner of each bracket facing off in a 1 vs 2 situation. JoeBlo was announced as the main programmer for this tournament meaning he would be AI'ing any entry's that need it and creating teams to place the robots on.
  • RODE Tribute Tournament - JoeBlo assisted in filming videos for MetalikVyper's tournament The RODE Tribute Tournament due to a few robots that were refusing to work periodically on various Robot Arena versions.
  • King Of Karnage - a new tournament JoeBlo is currently running, a difference from most tournaments is that it is a jousting tournament using the Legendary Lu-Tze Jousting Arena.

  • Doomed Bots - A tournament run by Doomkiller, JoeBlo has made the brackets, arena and prizes for the tourney. JoeBlo is also currently helping with the filming by doing the loser bracket for Doomkiller

Modifications Involvement

  • CCAI - JoeBlo created the Clash Cubes AI pack which was not be like a traditional AI pack but rather a pack for people to see how there bots would have fared against others they didnt face or test new creations for future Clash Cubes events, JoeBlo and
  • RA2: Backlash - is a standalone RA2 version that amps up the damage, speed and power of motors, drive, weapons, etc and reduces the HP and fracture of everything, thus making it really destructive. the Game is tarted a spinner robots and as a result are the only legal bot type, at the current stage JoeBlo has constructed 5 new arenas fro this mod.

Notable Robots

CFTW - Cube from the West is a Lightweight joke robot that was built for various uses in Clash Cubes, the look and name is a parody from the "legendary" Spinner from the West. Basically a small cube with 2 Shiny Hubs and a chewblade just like the real SFTW. Recently JoeBlo entered it in a match with Life Robot Arena2's Super Heavyweight robot COID which in a humorous outcome won. CFTW was well received by the community.

Hypno Blender - A robot that was entered in the first round of Brawl of the Builders. noted for being a robot that could man handle others with wedges while not having any of its own, despite beating Sage first round the robot was withdrawn because of a strange collision mesh related fault when it lost an external Z-Tek thus dropping out round 1 which meant Sage progressed.

Death By Angles - otherwise known as the "Controversial Number 2" an Antweight robot that won bot of the month for June 2009 by a rather large voting landslide however was one of the most controversial to win as the robot utilized YU AI Hammers which the rules stated AI parts were legal but there was no specifics to what couldn't be used so JoeBlo was handed the win

Natural High - A stock middleweight Pop-Up entered in RODE, was underestimated due to having static wedges but managed to win the first round rumble (which included 2 snapper wedged bots), the match was determined to be Void as the match was found to be filmed in DSL. However Natural High was victorious in the rematch and progressed to the RODE final which Natural High then won.

The Iron Outlaws - A swarm of Robots that act as a middleweight, basically the robots are all identical except for the weapon system on the end of an internal DDT, JoeBlo can then specify which will compete in a match essentially having a robot with interchangeable weaponry. while it has yet to be seen how effective it it will be, it is noted as it is the first of its kind to enter an AI tournament.

Gyratory Reborn - an expansion on the work by Firebeetle on Gyratory Revolt, the robot is basically a giant spinning top that is powered by servos, under servo power it will constantly accelerate like the original Gyratory Revolt however JoeBlo also discovered that under no servo power the bot would still accelerate but at the pace of a perm. Gyratory Reborn is currently entered along side JoeBlo's other bot Gyratory Minion in 1 vs 2.

Synergy - another of JoeBlo's break through Servo Boosting bots this time a spinning disc powered by a servo creates a glitch that causes all the servos Synergy used for drive to accelerate like an E-Tek making it a killer SnS without the need for batteries.
