'''Bad advice''': May be just total nonsense, or standard advice given in the wrong conditions or context (OH HAI THAR GAUCHE SUEDE), or someone who doesn't know enough his RA2. Note that a post can be insulting yet contain precious advice, generally due to the advice-giver being pissed at the newbie's lack of quick learning or just being annoyed for whatever reason (such as [[Infiniteinertia]]). This is generally frowned upon by "kinder" or "softer" members.

Criticism is when a member says something about another member's bot in the latter's showcase. Criticism is a virtually unavoidable aspect of having a showcase and if you ask for no criticism, you are likely to get even more, with added Drama !. Note that criticism doesn't necessarily carry conflict: criticism can be simple advice or caustic attacking depending on the showcasers bot and/or attitude. Criticism can be classified into numerous subsections, but for now we'll keep it simple.

High-quality advice: This is the gold standard, the highly sought after, the stuff that truly helps a newbie become a better builder. This is most often a deep analysis of the bot, it's strengths, it's weaknesses and how can it be made better. See: Clickbeetle, Pwnator, and possibly Sage and Scrap Daddy

Standard advice: This is the advice you get most often. It tends to be given by OK builders, or by builders who don't want to spend much time helping the newbie. It is by name correct and helpful, but it is quite generic and certainly could be better.

Personal opinion: Not actually advice, this is just people saying how they like (or dislike) the bot. Negative opinions without any reason tend to be frowned upon, and positive opinions are generally accepted. Some see positive opinions as necessary for the builder's morale, other see these as mostly useless. See both of Clickbeetle's showcases for the most blatant example of this.

Bad advice: May be just total nonsense, or standard advice given in the wrong conditions or context (see also: Gauche Suede), or when someone who doesn't know enough about RA2 to understand how to make a bot better. Bad advice comes often from unexperienced members or n00bs. However, the most competent in advice tend to quickly locate bad advice and blame the responsible, most especially Naryar.

Trolling: Which is not actually advice, but just a way to annoy the forum poster. A lesser, milder form is known and tolerated as "trash talk". However, any serious attacks or insults in showcases are a grave misbehavior and will find an angry Naryar waiting to give the Troll some justice FISTING !

Note that a post can be insulting yet contain precious advice, generally due to the advice-giver being pissed at the newbie's lack of quick learning or just being annoyed for whatever reason (such as Infiniteinertia). This is generally frowned upon by "kinder" or "softer" members.

also, showcase posts can contain several of these types of advice.
