It's so beautiful.

In a kind of retarded way.

It's pretty retarded.

An active user who signed up in July 2012 under the name of Merrick. 'Ragequitted' the forum 2 months later after refusing to listen to more experienced users in his showcase.

Returned under a pseudonym in February 2013 to avoid repercussions, but still struggled to keep his cool in the face of criticism, mainly from Venko and infiniteinertia, and has been muted several times in the space of a few months for flaming. Soon revealed himself to be Merrick in an attempt to be banned for multi-accounting, but realised that nobody gave a damn.

Caused more controversy in an argument over realistic DSL with Venko, causing Venko to claim Mazakari and other users to be against him. Venko promptly left the forum, something which Mazakari partly blames himself for.

Despite this, many users no longer see him as a problematic user. Has become very active in the GTM Skype group and is on good terms with most members, even Naryar, who handed him the majority of his warnings and mutes.

Outside of GTM, Mazakari is an avid gamer and aspiring songwriter. Plays guitar and bass and is studying Professional Musicianship in Bristol.

Bot Building

Stock

Originally built stock when he first joined the forum, but only in IRL style, with no knowledge of components. His two stock showcases have been riddled with controversy due to his stubbornness in the face of contrasting views of himself and veteran stock builders, and have been locked due to flame wars.

Incredibly limited skills, with no ability or interest in stacking (which contrasts with his views on realism).

Has only entered two stock tournaments so far, ianh05's All Round Bot Builder Championship (ARBBC) and Evo-Bots. Failed to win a match in either one.

DSL

Builds extensively in DSL 2.1, mostly in IRL designs, entering practically every IRL tournament that comes around. Originally had no clue how to build and was unwilling to listen to advice, leading to his departure from the forums. Spent his hiatus honing and improving his skills and was praised upon his return for original designs and cool looks (these were thought to be the robots of a new user in the eyes of the community, but similarities in the styles of Mazakari and Merrick were made).

Values looks more than efficiency in his designs, rarely building to the weight limit (unless in LW or MW), using chassis wedges, and arming his robots with less-effective weapons (notably the ripping tooth and pole spike). Has had very limited success in tournaments only progressing past Round 1 in two tournaments (Battlebots 6 MW Division QF with The Red Dragon and Helloface's Summer 2013 Tournament 4th place with Dusk 2). However, his entries do gain praise for their aesthetics.

Currently experimenting with the recently released DSL 3.0 beta, and has contributed a team to Paranoia AI.

Prefers to build Heavyweights, but struggles with Lightweights.
