The Elite bots of the robotic League Battles In Tough matches Exhibition was a canceled tournament created by Gigafrost that consists of multiple robotic events (hence the name super tournament). It is the first ever super tournament in its own right and is very difficult to win first place in since it (1) Requires you to win first place in all tournaments, including the final battle and (2) Challenges your bot building skills on a well-rounded level through its unique requirements. The first ELBITE super tournament was said to begin in December of 2008, but was postponed to restart and accept new entrants on late April of 2010 due to Gigafrost's demanding personal life. Also unique to this tournament is that it is the first tournament allowing competitors to submit 3 different alterations of their robot/entire bot teams in relation to the announced events that will occur.
Seasons and Ranks
The ELBITE Super tournament is classified in seasons and it starts at random. This makes the tournament a very rare event that may either appear once in a few months or annually.
In association with the ranking system, winning ELBITERS(competitors) are awarded component prizes. Those who win first place however, would receive a grand prize and a badge indicating that they are able to use it in their next tournament. As such, the more badges you earn, the more respect you get as an ELITE. The ELITE are the top 5 ranking ELBITERS of the super tournament and are probably the most skilled. it isn't easy to make it to the top 5, but those who do are respected highly for their achievement and probably have the best components. The ELITE may also have their name engraved into their components to distinguish themselves from the rest.
ELBITE Season 1 (Currently Underway)
Took place: December 2008-(postponed in 2008), (Reopened) April 2010-Unfinished
Building Requirements: DSL Middleweight
Signup Date: April 21
Winners: TBA
Badges
Currently there are a total of 8 official badges (arranged in order of lowest to highest rank):
- Fire Badge
- Earth Badge
- Ocean Badge
- Thunder Badge
- Wind Badge
- Space Badge
- DarkForce Badge
- LightForce Badge
These badges all have access only by the ELITE and are extremely rare. Only one is given out each season.
To make sure that the ELBITERS all have a fair chance to receive each badge, they all will receive a Badge Ribbon on the ELBITE website. This ribbon will record how many badges each person currently has and what badge they will win if they win first place in the next season. Of course, new comers also play a big role in the tournament as well since they make it more difficult for the ELITE to earn all the badges.
Once/if the top 5 ELITE earn all the badges, 8 more badges will be revealed. It is not known what these badges are, but they are more rare than the last 8. This means that every ELITE MUST have all 8 badges in order for the new badges to appear!
Trivia
- ELBITE's rules are the same as the rules in BBEANS, With the only difference being the tournaments specific building rules.
- ELBITE, due to the multiple chances of winning and losing, may be considered one of the most difficult tournaments to win in, since it increases your bots chance of bad matchups. This explains why the prizes are so huge. One may think however that it may, at the same time, be one of the most easiest tournaments because of the chance of good matchups which is also increased.
