- Trivia: Thyrus posted a picture of Dirt Devil 4 hanging on the Robot Wars Arena's outer wall getting counted out some days after Dirt Devil lost in nearly that way in Rust in Pieces after a few seconds of the opening match.
Dirt Devil is the 4th version out of series Thyrus has built. Dirt Devil 2 is an upgraded version of the original Dirt Devil and was entered in Metal Mayhem with a little weapon upgrade. It is a Stock bot with a front hinged flipper. It lost in the second round and was elected as the SFTW of the tournament too. Dirt Devil 3 is a backhinged flipper, build in DSL and showcased in the first post by Thyrus in his DSL showcase. Dirt Devil 4 is the first in the series with another weapon as a flipper.
- Tournament:
After a slow start by Dirt Devil 4 in the main bracket of Rust In Pieces Paper Cut 3 rammed into it and lifted it in the air. Dirt Devil turned around and got stuck on the arena wall and was counted out.
In the losers bracket it was up against Four Legged Johnny, Calypso & Nero 1.5. Near the end of te match it was one of the two last bots (with Calypso) remaining. It was flipped over during the fight. Calypso got stuck on Dirt Devil's bottom armour and the count-out began. It could free itself and the counter stopped at 4. Then Dirt Devil was counted out. Unable to self-right it was out of the competition completly.
