Gyro Dancing happens whit a robot has a fast spinning weapon, and loses a part of it weapon. The bot begins to wobble, and then can fall on it's side, and sort of lifts off the ground (usually balancing on one wheel).

A heavier form of gyro dance is spikeball mode, when the bot goes wild after a particularly violent gyro dance and it bounces everywhere uncontrollably in the arena, effectively seeming like a ball of spikes. And the bot will stay that way until you stop spinnng. Gyro dancing is caused by the centrifugal force acting on an unbalanced fast-spinning weapon.

Gyro Dance (also called "Mauler dancing") is an issue on HS. The more spinners and weapon heads you have, the milder the gyro dance is. But if you lose one of your weapon head on a LW with only one spinner, be prepared to the spikeball mode.

To get a gyro dance, just rip off one of Tornado's sledgehammers or one of Berserker's axes.

Gyro dancing is also an issue on VS, but the robot actually bounces up and down rather than dancing. This renders your wedge useless, messes up your driving, ruins your stability, makes landing a hit with your weapon difficult, and can make you lose the fight easily.
