Sparkey98 is a member of the forums, joining on December 4 2009.
He is considered to be the biggest n00b on the forums, just as bad, if not worse than LRA2. He used to get very flipped out over jokes and constructive critisicm, thinking that users were insulting him. He promised to improve his behavior and mature. When in the presence of another n00b, he will most likely whack the other noob.
At one point he was trying to get as many vets to come back as he could. So far he has managed to get Duh102 and mean2u to drop by, also talking to JimXorb. However, he angered a couple of people which got him a good telling off by ACAMS.
He used to believe he started the fad of drawing bots in MS paint but found out it was done on other forums years before. He feels like an idiot when discussing the matter.
He makes many "I'm leaving" threads in which he claims to leave GTM after posting a wall of angry text, coming back not long after. Generally makes many chatterbox threads that often get TLT'ed. GoldenFox93 named this style of posts "Pulling a Sparkey".
Is (was) also running his own 'underground' tourny, RANDOM BATTLES W00T, which has over 200 entries. He has since paused it due to personal issues.
Eventually he wound up asking to have himself banned, and tried to come back as Start the Flame, a whole new account. That account was quickly deleted, though. He has later returned with his original account, renamed to Sypher878.
Bot Building
Stock: Below average, does not know how to eFFe well, and has issues building to the weight limit. Recently got quite a bit better than he was before.
DSL: Better than he is at stock, but not brilliant in any way. Finally beginning to understand the simple sentence "build to weight limit".
- Neptus series: a stock series of 7 flipping robots, the latest having a backup clamp. At one point he started a huge debate, claiming that Neptus rupted. He later learned it does not.
- Huggy: Sparkey's first "good" (in his opinon, proper motors, batts, wheels, and others, make it good) DSL bot, that has an HS with two El Diablo tails so it looks like it has arms and hands, the latest having blades.
- Shred 'n Stab: Sparkey's first 'good' (first to beat all Stock AI HW's, not justifying the claim) bot with above 20 versions as of now, it has two Face spinners on the front and 2 spikes on the back
- Saw N00b: Sparkey's first "remarkably good" (Used out of context) DSL bot, able to take down Mako, among others, in a matter of seconds.
- Little Boxer Two: A DSL antweight based off the Stock AI robot, The Boxer. It uses two boxing gloves to ram. It came 3rd in CombatAnts 2.
- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH COME ON !: A Wammer/Flipper hybrid entered into BBEANS6. Considered as a waste of an entry. Lost 0-2 Won one round by havok forfeit.
