Valid Query 2, somtimes shortened to VQ2, is a HW Rammer built by NFX, and entered in Total Annihilation.
Before the tournament began, not much was expected from it, the general concensus being that its large, exposed chassis, and its own speed, would let it down. The only plus point it seemed to have was its realistic look. It still proved a formidable opponent, outscoring almost every bot it came up against, and more often than not scoring the first hit of the match.
In its heat, VQ2 dealt out a lot of damage to 1001 Problems, and removed one of its wheels, leaving Grinder to finish the job. In the next round, while Grinder was on top of Scarlet Transmisison, VQ2 charged across the arena, and the momentum lifted Scarlet Transmission into the air, catapulting Grinder OOTA. The heat final saw VQ2 force Scarlet Transmission into the corner of the arena, where its arms got stuck in the railings of the arena, and it was immobilised.
The grand final saw VQ2 entering as the rank outsider, having two bots with good wedges, and the fearsome Fever, to contend with. Bulldozer 2 was unluckily immobilised on the arena wall after a mistimed flip against Clowning Around 2. The second match saw Fever tossing both opponents OOTA in one hit, but both bots hit the ground at the same time, restarting the match. This time, Fever hit both opponents at the same time again, but VQ2 managed to land back in the arena, while Clowning Around 2 was eliminated. In the final match against Fever, VQ2 scored some good hits, before becoming stuck underneath Fever, and taking a lot of damage. Eventually, Fever lost a hammer, and became unbalanced, allowing VQ2 to get some more hits in, eventually removing Fever's weapon, and ultimately outscoring Fever to become champion. VQ2 vs Fever was the only match in the tournament to last the full three minutes.
After the tournament finished, a number of VQ2-inspired robots turned up, including one built by the tournament host, Thyrus.
NFX listed its strengths and weaknesses as "Very fast and very powerful", and "Maybe a bit too fast...", in reference to Rage III, as he felt that VQ2 would launch itself OOTA when facing an opponent with a good wedge, in the same way Rage III did.
