[[DSL]] parts are technically custom, but as it is a mod you won't be cheating unless you mix DSL with Stock.

Worse, showcasing robots with custom components on them is the best way to be flamed. If you make that as a newbie, this can lead to the [[Venko Effect]] (but [[Venko]] himself never used custom components)

Worse, showcasing robots with custom components on them is one of the best paths to change your showcase in an all out flame war, excepted if you use them for making a unique bot and not a combat one (like [[Clickbeetle]] and [[Madiaba]] do sometimes)

 

 

A good way to showcase one without getting flamed is put it in a custom part showcase, as the forum now has a part for custom components
