Criticism is a virtually unavoidable aspect of having a showcase. There are two kinds of criticism: positive and negative.

Positive criticism aims to help the recipient become a better bot builder. Examples of positive criticism include comments like, "Your bot would be better if it had [[Mace]]s in place of the [[Sledgehammer]]s." This form of criticism usually comes from more experienced forum members.

Negative criticism aims to merely provoke the recipient. Examples of negative criticism include comments like, "Your bot stinks[[!1!]]," or, "You fail!" This form of criticism somewhat resembles fail n00b whacking. Negative criticism mostly comes from [[n00b]]s and is often not appreciated by other members.
