Bad matchups are a [[tournament phenomenon]] in which a bot, usually a decently built one which was expected to win a lot of matches, is matched up against a number of bots that will most likely put it at a disadvantage.
Examples of this:
*A [[VS]] matched up against a [[HS]] of some sort for the preliminaries, and then again against another HS in the loser's bracket.
*A [[Rammer]] matched up against a [[Popup]] in the prelimenaries, and then against a [[Drum]].
*A [[SFTW]] matched up against anything.
