Fracture is how big of a hit a component needs to take when it reaches 0 Hitpoints in order to fall off. Any component attached directly to the chassis (not via baseplate anchors or attaching to any other component) has infinite fracture (which is where Caster armor originates) so it will never break off, but it can still lose hitpoints; motors (Notably Z-teks in Stock and NPC's Fasts in DSL) lose effectiveness if you hit the general part of the chassis they are in. Fracture for non-baseplate mounted components in Stock ranges from 15 to 60, while DSL parts can have from 10 to 2000 fracture.
