Arenas

The "arena" is the setting in which the robot battle takes place. There are several different types of arenas that support different gamemodes, each with their own unique layout and hazard setup.

Stock Arenas

The stock version of the game is packaged with 12 arenas (not including the practice arena or event results arena). These arenas were created by Infogrames and have only received one batch of updates (the 1.2 patch contained fixes for the Electric Arena, Hill Top Arena, and LumaZone). The Combat Arena is by far the most used arena ever created.

DSL Arenas

DSL comes with 21 new arenas (not including the Practice Arena and Event Results) with features never before seen in RA2. Elevators, rovers, pendulums, bullies, and more make this pack one of the best ways of bringing new life to an ever aging game. It is also worth noting that most of the arenas were designed and built by Lu-Tze for DSL 1 but they are still capable of standing up to modern standards.

Custom Arenas

Throughout the history of RA2, many community members have made custom arenas. These arenas can range from simple reskins of stock arenas to completely original arenas made from scratch. With the advent of dummy's tools, plus later additions from Serge and Firebeetle, many members have created their own arenas (mostly for tournaments).
