Due to his lack of ability to AI, NFX had no real idea as to how it would perform in the tournament. Its first match was against a VS, and most members thought it would lose, as an HS typically beats a VS, but TTTTM still managed to win. However, due to the spinning forces of the discs, its front wedges were quite bad, as was proved in its second round match against a well-wedged, and extremely quick rammer, which smashed it out of the arena with the first hit of the match. After that, being knocked down to the Loser's Bracket, it was outwedged by a heavily favoured popup wedge, and went out of the tournament.

VS/Flipper hybrids generally have poor wedges, as the force of the discs messes them up. Following TTTTM's only victory against a slightly lackluster HS, this was proved in its second round match against a well-wedged, and extremely quick rammer, which smashed it out of the arena with the first hit of the match. After that, being knocked down to the Loser's Bracket, it was outwedged by a heavily favoured popup wedge, and went out of the tournament.
