SCv1 Maelstom was one of the better HS when SC1 came out. It had a decent drive, a ramplate and it's weapons were 2 HPZ with 6 maces. https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/97637screenshot.bmp
SC3: Maelstrom is one of the better heavyweights in the starcore ai packs. It uses 4 HP Zteks with 3 iron spikes on each. It does have wedges but they don't really work well. They aren't on snappers but just on a baseplate anchor.
(damn. apparently I forgot to take a pic of the V3 one...Ill get it later.)
In V4 however, Maelstrom was completely overhauled. Now with twice as many irons and snowplow and castor armor defense, Maelstrom is one tough bot.
