These are a list of guidelines compiled my Kill343gs and InfiniteInertia to help RA2 online run more smoothly.
1. Custom components are cheating and are therefore not allowed. The host reserves the right to eject your bot from the board at any time or not start the match. This does not include AI parts or reskinned components. This rule is completely arbitrary and isn't entirely accepted by the veterans.
2. When you hit the green "ready" button, you are no longer allowed to talk. This light is a sign for the host to hit start, and the server having to upload the extra text can slow it down.
3. Follow the weightclass set by the other people. If they are playing middleweight, you play middleweight (if it is the required weightclass)
4. Lag is a huge part of RA2 online. If lag happens to be too bad, the host can end the match and all currently active bots will have a draw, or a redo can take place.
5. Most modern glitches are allowed and are not a form of cheating. This includes the effe-glitch, servo/snapper stacking, and axle loading. This does not include, however, Havok Explosion enducing robots such as piston glitch bots or nasty pickle type bots.
6. Custom arenas are allowed as long as everybody has the arena. To reduce lag, however, the Combat Arena with hazards turned off is suggested.
