The Announcer is the person who talks in the beginning and ending of the matches.

Characteristics

The Announcer is never seen in the game, and is only heard during the matches. He does most of his talking during the opening sequence of the match. In this sequence the Announcer welcomes the audience to the arena, points out the arena's hazards, and comments on the robot. During his introduction, the camera pans around the arena to focus on the hazards and the robots.

The only other time the Announcer is heard is at the end of the match declaring the match over. The Announcer doesn't narrate the match. It may have been an intended feature of the game as the game contains several unused wav files of the Announcer commenting on robots being damaged by hazards and other robots.

The introduction sequence at the beginning of each match can be turned off in the options, however the Announcer will still be heard at the end of every match declaring it over.
