Stuff Not To Use

  • Weapons which weigh more than 13 kilos
  • Square Extenders
  • Big wheels like Slims or Mud Tires. Big wheels = Big targets.

Stuff To Use

How To Take a Screenshot Ingame

  • Press the F11 key while in game, you can press it as many times as you want. When done, open this folder: C:\Program Files\Infograms\Robot Arena 2\ Screenshots to find your pic.

Exploiting Glitches

  • You can stack components into each other, using servo or burst motors. Just place components on them and then set their starting positions to wherever you want. The starting direction of servo motors is the direction in which they are first placed.
  • Look for the rupt glitch if you're into flippers
  • Motors spin faster when attached to small servo motors using small/light extenders
  • Wedges placed on mobile parts(servos, snappers, whatever) are extremely good at getting under stuff, whatever its ground clearance.

Design Tips

  • Use small wedges on burst motors to scoop your opponents up or just get under them
  • Maneuvrability is king in all robot designs but Horizontal spinners. Don't waste weight on weapons which won't ever face your opponent.
  • Rear armor is not all that great. Side armor is most useful when angled to deflect enemy hits.
  • Making your bot invertible (able to run upside-down) is a big plus. When creating a new chassis, drag the height slider bar down as far as you can, then very carefully move it upwards exactly 5 pixels (watch the screen very carefully, and you will be anle to count the pixels.) This is the exact minimum height for an HP Z-tek inside the frame of your bot. Minimum height + Shiny Hubs ('cuz they weigh the least, natch) = an invertible bot. *** HOT BUILDER TIP ***
  • Unless you are creating Antweights (AW) or Beetleweights (BW), do not use pink batteries, as the power-to-weight ratio is not very good. If possible, use a 6V Nifty (red) or a Supervolt (black) battery instead.
  • HP Z-teks are your most powerful motors - use them for drive/weaponry whenever possible.
