Projectile bots are robots that use projectile weapons such as Minicannons, [[Flamethrower]]s, and laser cannons (as in [[Firebeetle]]'s component pack). Mostly made using cheat parts, They are a perfect way to start a flamewar.

Projectile bots are robots that use any of the various custom projectile weapons such as the cheatbot2 [[Cannon]]s, and variations on this (laser cannons on [[Firebeetle]]'s component pack). Mostly done using cheat parts, they are disliked by the community when someone just puts a cannon on a chassis, but when a real-life tank replica comes into a showcase with some special .py that makes it work AI-ed, it's a different matter.

ACAMS combated the aggression on these by making a showcase for bots that use custom parts.

In DSL, flamethrower robots aren't really hated because the flamethrower is a legal part.
