Robot Arena was announced in May of 2015, when the Robotarena.com domain was changed to an early logo of Robot Arena 3 with the message "[http://web.archive.org/web/20150625214110/http://www.robotarena.com/ CREATE.DESTRUCTION IN 2016]". Robot Arena III was being released on the Steam marketplace [http://store.steampowered.com/app/363530 on 26th May 2016, expected to cost $19.99USD], and is the first in the franchise to use the Unity game engine.

Its existence is already largely forgotten by the community at large.
