Bot file editing is basically making any kind of modification done to a robot by editing it's .bot file directly with the use of a text editor such as Notepad++.

BFE is very powerful, being capable of many things you cannot achieve in the bot lab, and can be used for anything from changing the shape and height of chassis to changing the components or their placement.
