Entered his first BOTM before joining the forum.
In Battlebots 8, all four of Kurt's robots were beaten by either the champion or the runner-up of each weight division. Warmonger was originally designed as a Lightweight robot, but competed as a Middleweight for Powers Of Three before competing as a Lightweight. | ||

Joined in July 2011. He was impatient with people during his first weeks on the forum, but has improved since and is now a respected member who has competed in and hosted many tournaments. He is the only active Scottish member of the forum, and has a two Featherweight robots in real life, Stratos, a modified BattleRat, and another kitbot which was previously Usain Bot owned by Scot Bots, now named Tankslapper. it was armed with interchangeable weapons which were a spike, a wedge, and a flail. Tankslapper was subsequently rebuilt and modified, and has competed as Tankslapper 2 & A Bit since, keeping the interchangeable weapons.
Bot building
Stock: Originally had a showcase which featured poor quality robots, but has improved since he joined. A new Stock Showcase was created so that he could get better at Stock without keeping the unsuccessful attempts. Kurt admits that he still needs to do a lot to become truly good at Stock building. (Showcase)
DSL: Much better at DSL than he is at Stock, tends to build IRL bots and artbots, but occasionally dabbles in Standard for tournaments. (Showcase)
Tournaments entered
2 Legit 2 Quit: Entered with Compacter 2, one of his first attempts at making a DSL - S robot. It lost in the first round.
All Round Bot Builder Championship: Entered with Team Ghost, a 5 strong team consisting of robots themed around the ghosts from Pacman and made it to the fourth round. AW - Pinky - A rammer with a razor on an axle. BW - Blinky - A HS with a tribar and razors. LW - Inky - A popup with a chassis wedge. MW - Clyde - A rammer with two rows of razors at the front. HW - Plinkyde - A chained VS with maces on tribars.
Annihilator Entered Drumbeat, which was more of an IRL robot than an unrealistic Stock one, and also one of the first robots he ever made, and it got to the final. Ranked 4th.
Battlebots 3: Entered Tiny Titan in the LW Division and Axis in the SHW division. They both lost in the first round.
Battlebots 6: Entered with 4 robots, one in each weight category, with differing levels of success. LW - Prototype 47 - A horizontal bar which lost it's first fight. MW - Boombox - A much better horizontal bar which also lost it's first fight. HW - Poseidon - A flipper robot which did very well. It won it's first two matches outright, then won the Quarter-Final match on a judges decision, before losing the Semi-Final and coming 4th overall after the Playoff match. SHW - Brute - A thwackbot with 2 70kg hammers on a few large stacked DSL Bars. It made it through Round One, but then lost it's second fight by a very close judges decision. It lost 22-23.
Battlebots 7: Entered with 4 robots, one in each weight category, with no success at all... LW - Iggy - A flipper with spikes on the flipping arm, styled like a dinosaur. It lost it's first fight. MW - Lazarus - A HS with 3 spike strips for weapons. It too lost it's first fight. HW - Hephaestus - A large hammer robot with 2 60kg hammers on a Geared Beta motor. Like the other two it lost it's first round fight. SHW - The Blind Monolith - A jokebot Shell Spinner covered in beater bars. The shell was so heavy that it could barely turn. Unsurprisingly it lost in Round One.
Battlebots 8: Entered with 4 robots, one in each weight category, with differing levels of success. LW - Croco - Another flipper robot. It made it to the Quarter-Finals before it was beaten by the eventual runner-up. MW - Panxhar Ari - A reskinned version of Panxhar 2, which was a horizontal spinning bar. Panxhar Ari means "Golden Beetroot" in Albanian. It won it's first round match then lost in Round Two to the eventual champion. HW - Drug Enhanced Watermellow - A beater-wall rammer which, despite performing well in other tournaments, lost in it's first battle to the eventual runner-up. SHW - Gigamellow - Another horizontal spinning bar with hammers. It won it's first battle but lost it's second battle to the eventual champion.
Battlebots 9: Entered with 4 robots, one in each weight category, with differing levels of success. LW - Warmonger - The original version of the flipper. It lost it's only fight as a Lightweight. MW - Chipper - A horizontal flywheel for the weapon which proved to be very effective. Won through four rounds outright before an upset in the grand final where it came 2nd to Dr. Demolition. HW - Captain Grabbermore - The weapons were two large "arms" which would open as it drove towards an opponent, then would close around them. Inside the "arms" were beater bars and flamethrowers. It won it's first match even though the AI wasn't fully working, but then lost it's next match. SHW - 4Teen - A horizontal front mounted spinning bar was the weapon. 4Teen was driven by 14 Wide Ant wheels on 14 Astroflight motors, hence the name. It unsurprisingly lost it's first fight, but the wheels coming off were entertaining.
Beetle Bashers 2: Double Trouble: Entered Black Templar, a horizontal bar spinner powered by a Dual Mag, with Kossokei's Salamander as team Adeptus Astartes. Kurt also entered with Lion Rampant, another horizontal bar with beaters, and teamed with Elementos, who entered Irn Bru, which Kurt skinned and made IRL. Kurt and Kossokei lost in their first match, but the scottish pairing of Kurt and Elementos won the tournament overall.
Blood Brothers: Entered Solstice and Equinox. Solstice has 6 razors on a Hex Plate for it's weapon, whereas Equinox has 4 razors on flails. Both are powered by Perms.
Breaking Point: Hosted this tournament and entered Panxhar 2. See Kurt's Tournaments below.
Breaking Point - DSL Standard Version: Hosted this tournament and entered Princess, Princess, Princess. See Kurt's Tournaments below.
Chinese Whispers 3: Along with ty4er and Craaig made Secret Poodle Part Two, which got to the 2nd round before the tournament was abandoned.
Clash Cubes "Spin-Off": Competed with Kedge, but Joeblo being himself never got around to doing the tournament.
Evo-Bots: Entered three rammers, all named Clyde. He lost his first round match, then also lost his match in the Loser's Bracket.
Father And Son 2: Entered with Welcome To Jackass LW and Welcome To Jackass HW, which were armed with very powerful and very unstable spinning bars. They lost in Round One.
Helloface's IRL Fall 2013 Tournament: Entered Drug Enhanced Watermellow in the main tournament, and Watermellow in the Mantisweight side event. Drug Enhanced Watermellow won it's heat with ease, but then lost it's Semi-Final battle to the champion. DEW was also entered into side events such as Sumo, Annihilator, All-Stars, and Challenge Belt.
Hostile Theatre: Entered Domino, a lid spinner, which performed decently, managing destroy it's way to the semi finals, losing to the champion there, and then coming 4th after the Playoff.
Keep Your Enemies Close: Hosted this tournament and entered Scarabeetle and Bostonius. See Kurt's Tournaments below.
Maximum Overkill: Entered with 18 robots (8 HS, 5 VS, 3 Rammers, 1 Popup, and 1 Axe), named Beepy, Deepy, Geepy, Heepy, Jeepy, Keepy, Leepy, Meepy, Neepy, Peepy, Queepy, Reepy, Seepy, Teepy, Veepy, Weepy, Yeepy, and Zeepy. Most of the robots are spinners. Kurt performed decently overall, getting to the Quarter Finals with Geepy, a HS. Two of Kurt's bots were entered into the side tournament Retard Rumble, which pitted jokebots against each other, with the winner of each fight losing and being eliminated. Kurt's two entries were Leepy and Peepy, an IRL Axe and a single spike Rammer respectively. Both of Kurt's bots were in the first battle, Leepy won the battle so was the first to be eliminated from the competition. Peepy won it in the end, as it drove itself into a pit in every single match except one, where it was pushed into a pit.
Minor Inconveniences: Competed with Warmonger from Battlebots 9 and Maelstrom EVO, both of them were flippers, and made it to the second round.
My Little Pwnies: Entered Easily Pwnable which was a badly weaponed poker. Lost to Kvit Poseur Killer before MNB gave up on hosting.
N00b Warz 4: Entered with LU-Bot which lost in the first round. LU-Bot wasn't actually made by Kurt, it was made entirely by one of his friends. Kurt entered it because of how badly his friend had made it.
Orphans: Entered with 259000, the follow-on to 259. It was armed with a large flywheel like the original 259. It won it's Round One match against The Killer Rabbit, but then lost it's next right against the reinstated Killer Carrot 3.
Poker Night at the Arena: Entered Panxhar 2 again. After winning Round One on a dodgy judges decision it was then defeated by Eight, even though Eight was upside down and would have been eliminated if Kurt's robot didn't attack it.
Powers of Three: Hosted this tournament and entered Warmonger. See Kurt's Tournaments below.
RA2 Olympics: Entered The Flying Scotsman, which was a beater covered shell spinner, and earned a silver medal for Scotland.
RA2 Olympics London: Entered Tartantrum, a robot with 180kg worth of hammers to be used for ramming, representing Scotland again. Tartantrum lost in Round One however.
RA2 Olympics Tokyo: Entered Micromellow and Minimellow and won another silver medal for Scotland. Micromellow was a BW with a drum made out of beaters and a Hex Plate. Minimellow was a LW replica of Kurt's HW Drug Enhanced Watermellow.
RA2 World Championships: Entered with Kespar as his main entry, and Fatal Traction as his replica entry. Kespar was armed with a horizontal flywheel and lost it's first round melee, and was not voted back in. Fatal Traction also lost in round one, but managed to get enough votes to be given a wildcard. It had to fight for it's wildcard due to a tied vote, and won. It got to the Semi-Final, beating the other Scottish entry, where it was beaten by another replica.
RA2 World Cup 2014: Entered with Drug Enhanced Watermellow, but it was eliminated in the group stages.
Robot Wars Series 8: Competed with M.A.C.E, a rammer/thwackbot with two maces on a large T-shaped extender array. It won it's opening battle but was then defeated by Firestorm.
Robot Wars Extreme 3: Competed with M.A.C.E.T.W.O., which was identical to M.A.C.E. exceept the extenders were on a burst motor to be used as a hammer. M.A.C.E.T.W.O. never fought as the tournament was never run.
Robot Wars Series 9: Competed with Pesukone 2, but is yet to fight. Pesukone means "Washing Machine" is Finnish. It is armed with a diagonal flywheel with Ice Picks.
Robotic International Wars 3: Entered with Derpy, a large boxy rammer with razors on a flail, which lost all 3 matches it was in. It is ranked 35th in RIW rankings, meaning it is tied for last place.
Scrapheap Challenge: Hosted this tournament and entered Brick Breaker. See Kurt's Tournaments below.
The Great Round Robin 2: Entered Drug Enhanced Watermellow, it performed decently but did not make it to the Knockout Rounds.
Trios Of Terror: Entered Black, Grey, and White, a SnS, HS, and Popup respectively. Kurt has beaten KOS and 090901 currently, and is in the Semi Final, set to face RedAce.
Two to Tango: Entered with ty4er with The Unknown Enemy for Team "I'm With Who?" which has made it to the 4th round of the winners bracket. He also entered with Team IRL (composed of Toss Box and CD Burner), which lost both rounds it was in.
Two to Tango Two: Sent Kevin, a popup which would later become Princess, Princess, Princess, and Nice Rack You've Got There Miss, a rammer, but the SBV thread was never put up. NRYGTM was entered into team Widespread Panic with Mazakari, and Kevin was sent to Helloface, but the team was never sent. Kurt also entered a team of two of his own robots called Here's A Robot and Here's Another Robot. One was a reskinned Tartantrum, the other was a TRFBD. They were part of Team Meh.
War of the Giants: Entered Super Circuit Breaker 2, which was armed with a bar hammer on a Geared Beta motor. It lost it's only battle to the eventual champion.
VG Showdown: Entered two robots, the first being 5 Playable Characters, themed around Super Mario 3D World, which was armed with 12 razors on 2 Hex Plates on a vertically spinning Perm motor, the other being PUZZLE PLANK, themed after the Super Mario Galaxy 2 level of the same name, after deciding to spam the GTM Skype chat with it, much to the annoyance of Incredirobotwars. PUZZLE PLANK lost againstSonny's Phoenix Wright twice in the heat but managed to win against Oregon Trail, meaning it would compete in the Wildcard Rumbles. It finished second on the rumble so was not put back in. 5 Playable Characters also lost 2-1 in the heat but won it's Wildcard rumble allowing it to continue. It lost the Rumble Winner match, which decided what spot in the bracket it would take. 5 Playable Characters made it to Round 2 of the Winners Bracket and Round 3 of the Losers Bracket before finally being eliminated from the competition. 5 Playable Characters has the dubious honour of having the most losses in the tournament, losing 5 times before finally being eliminated.
Kurt's Tournaments
Kurt started hosting tournaments in late 2013, with the discussion for his first tournament, Breaking Point, beginning in late October. Kurt has then gone on to host 4 tournaments, each with their own gimmick, because he likes his tournaments to be a little different. Because he hosted more than two tournaments in 2014, he was applied for--and earned--the title of Mega Host 2014. This lasts until December 31, 2015.
Breaking Point: This was Kurt's first tournament, which was fought with IRL Middleweights. The gimmick for the tournament was to have a unique bracket with 15 entrants and a wildcard spot. The 15 entrants were randomly placed into 5 heats of 3 robots, all three robots fought in a melee with the winner advancing to the next round. The 10 robots that were beaten were then given a spot in the Wildcard Vote, to be reinstated into Round Two. Round Two consisted of two more three-way rumbles, the winner moved onto the Grand Final, and the runner up in each rumble was put into the Playoff for third place.
Kurt entered with Panxhar 2, a horizontal spinning bar. It lost in Round One and was not given the Wildcard.
In the end the tournament was won by Mazakari, with his flipper robot Heavy Metal.
Senstro came second with Mr. Biohazard, and RedAce came third with Carnivore. RecAce also won the Wildcard after it was flipped out of the arena by Heavy Metal in Round One.
Keep Your Enemies Close: After the moderate success of Breaking Point, Kurt did another IRL Middleweight tourney, this time being a Tag Team tournament. The gimmick for this tourney was how the Tag Team aspect worked. There was 16 entrants, and each entrant sent two robots, making a total of 32 robots entered. All the robots were then given a randomly assigned partner and a randomly assigned opponent team. The team that won advanced to Round Two, but the teams did not stay the same. Each round the surviving robots were given new randomised partners and opponents until the Grand Final. The Grand Final was also a Tag Team battle, meaning there would be two champions.
Kurt entered with Bostonius, a Steampunk themed robot with a vertical flywheel and a moving turnkey decoration at the rear, and with Scarabeetle, a flipper with the chassis made out of a shell.
The two Champions were Jet-Speed with Subtlety, a flipper, and the host, Kurt with Bostonius.
The other Grand Finalists were Jet-Speed again, with Inbound Catastrophe, and Senstro, with previous runner up Mr. Biohazard.
Powers of Three: This was Kurt's third and final tournament in the "Kurt's Opening IRL Middleweight Tournament Trilogy Which Is Totally A Real Trilogy" Trilogy. The gimmick of this tournament was to have 27 entries, so that each battle would involve three robots. Due to the lack of interest, Kurt had to open a secondary signups to get more entrants. Round One consisted of 9 three way battles called Qualifiers, with the winner of each advancing to Round Two. Round Two was three more rumbles known as Triads. The winners of the Triads were then placed into the Grand Final. The Grand Final was then a simple "Winner Takes All" melee.
Kurt entered with a modified version of his Lightweight flipper Warmonger. It won it's Qualifier by flipping one robot out of the arena, and the other one around it.
The tournament was won by Elementos with Self Defence Roots. It was armed with a spinning blade arrangement similar to a helicopter. It was a surprise victory as it wasn't expected to get past Round One.
Breaking Point - DSL Standard Version: Usually referred to as Breaking Point DSL - S or Breaking Point 2. Kurt decided to do a Standard tournament due to the amount of IRL tournaments happening. It is run exactly the same to
the original Breaking Point only with Standard robots. The tournament is currently running and the Wildcard vote is happening now.
Kurt entered Princess, Princess, Princess after he removed it from VG Showdown and it's predecessor Kevin (See Two To Tango 2) was never fought. It made it to the Grand Final and won outright.
Second place was awarded to HurricaneAndrew who fought with a beater bar rammer named Brazilian Tranny Midget, which won the Wildcard after it was beaten by 3rd place finisher Streamline which was built by S.H.I.E.L.D.
Scrapheap Challenge: Bleh, I'll edit it later.
Challenges Entered
Vs. Ben Purse and Hercules : Entered with Compacter 2. DSL MW in the Combat Arena. He won, but the thread was mistakenly marked as "Disqualified".
Vs. GarvinTheGreat, Avalanche and ty4er : Entered with BoomBox, ty4er won. DSL MW in the Combat Arena.
