Gyro Dancing is when a robot has a fast spinning weapon, and then turns and sort of lifts off the ground (usually balancing on one wheel) and will stay that way until you stop turning. Gyro dancing is caused by the centrifugal force acting on the robot when its weapon is at a high speed. A robot type that also uses a similar principle is a [[Gyro Bot]]

A heavier form of gyro dance is spikeball mode, when the bot goes wild after a particularly violent gyro dance and it bounces everywhere uncontrollably in the arena, effectively seeming like a ball of spikes. And the bot will stay that way until you stop spinnng. Gyro dancing is caused by the centrifugal force acting on the robot when its weapon is at a high speed.

Gyro Dance (also called "pulling a Mauler") is an issue on [[HS]]. The more spinners and weapon heads you have, the milder the gyro dance is. But if you lose one of your weapon head on a [[LW]] with only one spinner, be prepared to the spikeball mode.
