"The Perfect Robot" is a theory that as RA2 bot building evolves, the general level of building gets progressively better and that one day we will be able to build a robot that will be unbeatable in any arena.
A mere illusion !
There is no perfect robot.
Repeat it after me.
Three times.
Each of the Robot Types is unique, and has innate strengths and weaknesses against other robot types, in some sort of rock-paper-scissors (example - Hammers beat Shell spinners, Shell spinners beat Vertical Spinners and Vertical Spinners beat Hammers , though this is only true if both bots are equally well built) thing.
Even if you built an absolute killer, it WILL be beaten in the future at one point, and more and more people WILL beat your bot in the months or years to come. Absolute Chaos is probably the most obvious example of this. Robots like Absolute Chaos advance bot building, because it challenges builders to build at a much higher level to try and defeat it, or bots of its caliber.
That is all. Bot building evolves, yes, and bots get better, but as biological evolution, no living being is perfect, and hence no bot is perfect. Yes, builds can be killers or fail horribly, but even killers die of old age.
