Wedges are a quite simple bot design and good for starters that want to practice their driving. It is basically a robot with a sloped front, and a low ground clearance, for getting under other bots. A fast drive train helps, too. 

However, normal wedge bots doesn't have any weapons, and this is more than an issue in an arena without any possibility to get [[OOTA]]s or destructive [[hazard]]s, so it is better to include a weapon.

You might as well want to get an efficient [[wedge design]] on your robot.
